Baxter! (Intake date: November, 2009)

HANDSOME!!!  Meet our handsome Pittbull boy Baxter who is searching for a new, experienced, and loving family to call his own...

This big gorgeous boy is neutered, has his shots up to date and is friendly with people.  Baxter is not, however, good with other dogs, and given the strength and nature of the reed, we are searching for an experienced family for Baxter to call his own.

He is intelligent, and energetic, and will require lots of daily exercise and an indoor bed given his short coat.  Under no circumstances, is Baxter to be chained or tied up...he requires a safely fenced yard, and a family who will make him an integral part of their daily routine.

If you have the experience, breed knowledge, and the maturity to provide Baxter with a stable home in which he can be successful and can reach his fullest potential, then come by to meet him.  Preference will be given to families with proven breed experience.

Please note: Our shelter reserves the right to refuse any adoption  application, as well as the right to keep the reasons for the refusal confidential within the organization.

If your family is active and can provide lots of daily exercise and affection for this sweet young girl, along with an indoor bed and quality nutrition then come on by to meet her.

Gorgeous Laura is an approximately one-year old spayed female Black Lab cross who is very affectionate and sweet and is looking for a loving famly to call her own.

This beautiful sweetie seems much more comfortable outside than she does inside, and so may want to spend more time outdoors given that she has a proper shelter.

If your family is looking for a shiny black sweetie to call their own for the rest of her many years, then come on by to meet this sweet, sweet gird.

Abbey! (Intake date: July, 2010)

Cute and sweet and completely adorable in the right set of loving and patient hands, this sweet little girl Abbey the Terrier mix is all ready to feel safe and loved once again.

Abbey is somewhat shy and can even be fearful in certain situations.  Like most of us, fear does not bring out the best in her, and so she needs a human companion who is loving, kind, patient, and ready to earn her trust.  Once she gets to know you, she is loving and sweet, she just needs time to warm up.

This being the case, Abbey would really like to find a loving home that is free from young children, and one that will ensure that she is always made to feel comfortable, safe, and loved.

If you can provide this type of safe and loving, stable and consistent environment for this sweet little girl, then come on by to spend some time with her.

Looking for a loving little ball of affection?  If so then perhaps our new and adorable little Cooper the Cocker Spaniel/American Eskimo cross could be the right new addition for your family!

Cooper loves to be held and is a natural lap-dog and companion.  She loves to listen and just share space with you on any kind of day.  Cooper enjoys her time in the off-leash area and she is good on leash as well.

If you have an active lifestyle, and indoor bed, lots of love and a comfy lap to offer, then perhaps Cooper could be just the one your family has been waiting for.

Shasta is proud to say she has been adopted!  (Intake date: July, 2009)

Meet Shasta!  This sweet girl is a spayed female Retriever/Lab cross who is about as smart as they come and ready for a new life with a new loving family!! At this point she is still trying to figure out why someone as affectionate as she is has still not found her forever family.

Shasta walks well on leash, she is affectionate, and she is well mannered.  She likes to go for her daily outings weather it be a long walk to the creek or for an off leash romp in a securely fenced area with her new buddy Hershey featured above.

Shasta is looking for a family who is free from young children, who will give her lots of daily exercise, an indoor bed, has a safely fenced yard, and plenty of love to give to their four-legged family members.

If your family is ready for a new addition who already knows how to be a great companion, come by to meet our friend, Shasta.

Charlotte has been adopted!  (Intake date: October, 2009)

Meet our newest little spunky muffin, Charlotte!  This energetic and playful young fire-cracker is in search of a new, active family to call her own....maybe even one with her very own playmate who can keep up to her and play and play and rough-house (respectfully of course), until she is all worn out and ready for a nap.

This young shepherd cross is soon to be spayed and Charlotte can fetch like nobody's business!  She absolutely loves to chase the ball and she has the stamina to do it for probably longer than your arm can so a tossing toy like a 'Chuck-it' would be a great investment for the new lucky family who makes Charlotte a member.

Charlotte would also like you to know that she is intelligent, responds well to positive reinforcement, and that she is working on her potty training.  With a steady and committed, loving family, this smart girl should be all house-trained and ready to rock in no time.

If your family has lots of energy and love to give, then come on by to meet our new little sweetie, Charlotte.

Eddie, Dalton, Travis, and Trail! (Intake date: March, 2010) (All  four of our sweeties have been adopted!)

Meet our sweet new little puppy crew.  Dalton, Eddie, Trail, and Travis are 16-week old mixed breed darlings who are all set to be important new additions to their new families.

Puppies are a tonne of fun, but are also a lot of worthwhile work.  They require proper nutrition, veterinary care, training using positive methods, plenty of exercise, an indoor bed and a safe and sheltered place to be when they need to be left alone for a little while.

Please do your research on proper puppy care, before considering adopting a baby from us or anywhere else.  If your lifestyle supports the proper care of a puppy, and you have properly fenced yard, an indoor bed and consistent and stable love to give for the next 12 -1 6 years, then come on by for a visit. Please keep in mind that our puppies are adopted with spay and neuter contracts only.

Snoopy is proud to announce he is out on adoption trial! (Intake date: December, 2009)

Cute little Snoopy is a neutered male Beagle cross who is friendly, well-mannered, he is well-socialized too and loves to run with his new friend, Charlotte featured above.

Snoopy is intelligent, a little wiggly and he would love an active new family who is loving, and who has a nice securely fenced yard for him to play in with his new humans and one that will keep him safe from exploring the outside world alone.

Snoopy is short-haired and will, therefore, definitely require a new home that will provide him with an indoor bed and indoor time when it is chilly outside - because of his coat, but also  because he is very social and loves to be part of family activities.

If your family can provide a permanent loving and active home for the rest of Snoopy's many years, and you can't wait to let him follow his nose around your house, then come on by to meet him!

Timber is out on adoption trial! (Intake date: May, 2010)

Timber is an approximately two year old soon-to-be-neutered male Malamute who is absolutely gorgeous and ready to become an important new addition to an active family.

He listens well and has good off-leash potential, he is well-socialized and likes to be around people and other dogs.  Like most northern breed dogs Timber has a very high prey drive, and this being the case he cannot go to a family or environment in which there are cats.  He loves other dogs though, particularly playtime with his new friend Amber.

Lucuma is out on adoption trial! (Intake date: March, 2010)

Meet our intelligent new friend Lucuma!

This medium-sized sweetie is an 18-month old neutered male Border Collie/Heeler cross who is well-socialized with both adult humans and most other doggies, and he loves to work for treats! Lucuma is suited to a house-hold that is either child-free or has all children over the age of 12 only,

While he enjoys his treats, he requires a consistent diet as he has a sensitive tummy, but with quality nutrition, this should not be a concern.

Lucuma is energetic and well-mannered and he would like a family who is active and energetic like he is as he comes from a 'working' breed background.

If your family can provide an active environment, complete with an indoor bed and lots of attention, daily exercise and affection, then perhaps this sweet boy could be just the one you've been waiting for!

Winston is a Bischon/Poodle cross who is about as lovable as they come.  He loves human companionship and would make a great new friend for someone who loves to spend a lot of quality time with their four-legged family members.

Winston does not like to be away from his humans and this being the case he will require a nice comfy and homey crate to sleep in while his humans have to be away from him (remember dogs can only be comfortable crated for approximately 4 hours).

If you can provide a loving, affectionate and permanent home for this loving little guy, please come on by to meet him.
