Featured Friend!

Our resident Sweet Zyra who is still awaiting her loving new family enjoys a day out with one of our dedicated volunteers.
It's coming along!

It's coming along!  The they are working on the inside now!

We are currently over-loaded  - providing shelter to 56 cats and kittens which is double our limit!  This being the case, our felines are currently available for adoption for a nominal fee of $50.  Our adoptable friends are already spayed/neutered and their shots are up to date!
PLEASE NOTE that is unlawful to abandon animals at our shelter or anywhere else.  Our security cameras have witnessed several such unauthorized 'drop-offs' recently which can be subject to legal prosecution.  PLEASE be responsible with your pets and give them the benefit of a new, loving home found on your own accord.  Animals abandoned at our shelter when we are over-loaded will be taken to the pound at which time their future becomes uncertain and criminal charges may be pursued toward those responsible.

We are requesting donations of both wet and dry cat and kitten food.  Can you help?  If so, please bring your donations to our shelter during public hours.  We appreciate your support!

Our new friend Keylo the great big and sweet Rotti/Black Lab cross as well as our new handsome male Yellow Lab/Husky cross are now here to meet you ! Several of our new feline friends are all ready here and ready to make your acquaintance with more coming this week!

LOST!!

Please help us get Mack home safe and sound!
This sweet boy is an approximately 45 lb. English Setter who was lost last weekend in the vicinity of Petite Lake near Hinton.  He is swift and could be anywhere by now.  He is wearing a red collar without tags.  He is timid of men in ball caps, so if you see him, approach him gently and help up bring him back.  His family misses him dearly!

Hinton Alberta SPCA Animal Shelter

The Hinton & District S.P.C.A. is a Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Finding suitable homes for unwanted animals & re-uniting lost pets with their owners, the Hinton S.P.C.A. is a NO KILL shelter in the province of Alberta.  Each year up to 60% of dogs & up to 70% of cats that enter shelters, will die because there is no one to adopt them. This is why the S.P.C.A. asks that you go to an animal shelter or rescue group in your community if you are ready to get a pet, and see all the great companions waiting to enter your life. We also offer boarding and bathing services.

New additions are being added to our family frequently.
Come back often to find a pet waiting for you!

Our adoption program includes a 10-day money back policy. Be sure to ask us for more details.
